# Atavok Terms of Service

**1. The deal.** Atavok is made by Brain Dump Inneractive (BDIA). By creating an account or using the launcher, the game or the website, you agree to these terms. If you are under the age of digital consent where you live, a parent or guardian must agree for you.

**2. Your account.** One account per person. Keep your password private; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Your username is private and used for friend requests; your display name is public. Both must be original and must not impersonate BDIA, its staff, or another person, and must not be offensive.

**3. Free launcher, paid game.** The launcher is free. A new account gets a 30-minute trial of the game. You may purchase the game at any time, before, during or after the trial, and you may submit feedback at any time during the trial. When the trial ends without a purchase or an accepted feedback reward, the game files are removed by the launcher until an entitlement is present. Accepted feedback is decided by BDIA alone and may grant the game, cosmetics or source access as BDIA chooses.

**4. Purchases and refunds.** Prices are shown before you pay. Purchases are tied to your account and can be played on any machine you link. Refunds follow the law where you live; a refund removes the entitlement. Cosmetic items change nothing that affects a fight.

**5. Fair play.** You must not cheat, exploit bugs for advantage, use bots, aimbots, wallhacks, speed or map hacks, forged tokens, altered game files during a trial, or any client that gives an in-game advantage. Third-party clients are allowed only for accounts with the third-party entitlement, and even then any advantage is a ban. Cheating results in a ban of the account and the machines it has used, without refund.

**6. Content and conduct.** Atavok lets you build, name, chat and speak. You must not create, display or share sexually explicit content, content involving minors, hate speech, threats, harassment, doxxing, or content that breaks the law. Do not impersonate staff. BDIA may remove content and suspend or ban accounts for breaches. Voice and text chat are not stored except head chat lines shown briefly in game; reports are reviewed by BDIA.

**7. Servers.** Official servers are run by BDIA and may be wiped monthly. Community servers are run by their admins, who set their own rules within these terms; BDIA does not control them. Your vault persists across official wipes and is only ever wiped by a server admin.

**8. Bans and appeals.** Bans state a reason and, where applicable, an end date. There is no appeal process beyond contacting BDIA at the address on the website.

**9. Ownership.** The game, launcher, website, source and all assets belong to BDIA. Your builds and names inside the game are yours to make, and you grant BDIA a licence to store, display and use them to run the game and to promote it.

**10. Not responsible.** Atavok is a game about a world that went wrong. BDIA is not responsible for anything done by players in the game or with it, for what other players say or build, for loss of items, progress, vault contents, downtime, data loss, wipes, or for any harm, loss or damage arising from playing Atavok or from using the launcher, website or source, to the fullest extent the law allows. The game and services are provided as is, without warranty. Where liability cannot be excluded, BDIA's total liability is limited to what you paid BDIA in the twelve months before the claim.

**11. Privacy.** BDIA stores your email, password hash, username, display name, purchase records, playtime, a salted hardware hash of each linked machine, feedback you submit, and moderation records. Nothing else is collected from the game. See the Privacy Notice for details and your rights.

**12. Changes.** BDIA may change these terms; material changes are announced in the launcher and take effect when you next sign in. If you disagree, stop using Atavok; purchases remain yours under the terms in force when you bought them.

**13. Law.** These terms are governed by the law of BDIA's country of registration, and disputes go to its courts, unless the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be waived.
